The finale of Grey’s Anatomy was bitter sweet and really tragic. I was crying from the beginning until the cliffhanger… Shonda Rimes and company have exquisite minds that’s evident in the writing, background, costume and chosen actors. But I am fed up, yes fed up that every single finale ends in a death, tears and uncertainty. Sometimes I want to scream and write the producers about this weak almost callous way of ending the show every year. I understand there needs to be something to hold fans on until the next season but enough is enough. The show is good and maybe it’s not as great as it once was but sometimes you have to trust the fans to be loyal and come back. Nothing last forever and if it’s going to end, it will. The show killed Lexi—little Grey off in the finale.
I was a little shocked, she’s a regular and there could have been so much potential with her and Mark in the next season. Why couldn’t her character existed the show by just quitting? Moving on by accepting another residency in some other hospital? Unlike soap operas where dead people are always resurrected, it won’t work for Prime-time shows like these. So she gone forever unless of course there is some crafty writing and it turned out she never died in the first place.
In my opinion, the season was great. It delved into loss, infidelity, loyalty, boundaries and new found love. I admire the writing that allowed Teddy to properly grieve the death of her husband. It was not a pretty venture and the actress nailed it.
I know many fans complained about the unfairness of her blaming Owen but I don’t. I understand that in tragic loss as this, no one is rational, it made complete sense for her to point the finger and to be as mad as she wanted. It’s the real world, no one ever looses a spouse and acts just okay.
Owen and Christina are at a crossroads and it appeared that their marriage is over, she would accept a position in another State and move on.
But of course the finale makes us really examine that because she and the rest are abandoned at a plane wreck site and no one knows; well except now Owen will investigate. This certainly rouses the feelings of “I almost lost you and so we should work on our marriage”. Who knows but I foresee something of the sort in the next season. Is it reasonable for me to question why people have affairs and still claim to LOVE their spouse?
A wonderful season and a sloppy finale, too emotional but consistent with the show’s ending for years. It’s about time the show ends with no deaths and give the audience something a little more comfortable but impressive.-ch
Ejami: Ej and Sami
Lumi: Lucas and Sami
My thoughts have become confusing even to myself. I truly am an Ejami fan and would want nothing but to see them together in a loving sweet relationship. On the other hand I also love Lumi who make an adorable couple. But now I have some major issues with the direction of Sami’s relationship with both men. EJ is currently in her life playing the role of friend, hero, confidant. Before long, I can see that friendship spilling over into something more. Given the history between them, I don’t know what the future holds. Essentially, Ej claims to still be in love with his wife Nicole and is actively trying his best to reclaim the relationship he had with her. In the beginning I could not, would not accept Nicole as the woman Ej was meant to be with. It pained me to no end having to put up with their torrid love scenes and his undying announcement of deep love for her. I felt she didn’t deserve it and hoped the writers would separate them. Well my dreams has come true but something is off. Through my realization last November, I finally understood that love Ej has for her. It comes from a place of mutual respect, longing, blissfulness.
It is quiet, romantic and sexy. Whereas Ejami is pure passion wrapped up in lust. Their desire for each other is sporadic and temporary. Ejami is about pure obsession. Ej’s gaze is powerful, erotic, suggestive and it sends tingles down my spine. Even in an argument, the actors seem to tap into that higher place of themselves where they fully and completely get into their roles. I think I like the unrestrained part of them where they give into unexplored desires and no matter what, they have an invisible cord between them that can neither be broken but is not enough to keep them together. If I am really candid about my feelings, I know deep down that Ej thinks he’s in-love with Sami but is mostly still obsessed and Sami does not quite return his feelings exactly. She feels something but it is not love. Sami likes Ej and is attracted to the bad boy in him that acts out of control and can turn up the volume in any situation. For some reason they are great looking together, their chemistry is undeniable and they have moments where they appear to be so in sync it’s frightening. Even though most times I am stuck on the Ejami scene and wish and hope the writers can finally put them together maybe it’s for the best they are not a couple and can remain distant friends. I say distant because their chemistry is too strong and sexual for them to be close friends, it can turn into something else. EJ is worthy of a woman who can love, accept and cherish him for the real person he is. Sami is not capable of this feat and as much as I want them together , it is as unrealistic as wishing for the tooth fairy to be real. I still love Ejami and deep down I will always want them together but realistically if I really care about Ej and Sami’s feeling, I know they are not meant to be together. If by some miraculous act, the writers make Sami into someone that truly comes to care for Ej, I will be over the moon and I’d like them to be the endgame.
Lumi is different, they have known each other forever and there is a specialness that comes from that. They thoroughly know and identify the light within the other. They’re like the soul-mates that grow old and will die together. I’ve always liked Lucas, he’s smart, witty, loves the family and does his best…. His only recklessness is his sometimes blind eye to Sami’s slights. Together they’re too adorable, made for each other.
They both shine in the presence of the other. Sami hasn’t and never will love anyone as she loves Lucas. Despite what people talk about the character, Sami is capable of love but can at times act selfish, spiteful and vindictive. Lumi has been through their share of disastrous custody battles, lying games and false paternity suits. But in the end, they have it. It is Lucas Sami calls when she needs someone to understand her, it is Lucas who can fly from another continent to be sure she’s okay. Lucas is Sami’s go to person that lets her know that she is beyond special, he is her savior and she is his heart that has matured and fully appreciates him.
In the end, because I love drama and chemistry, I will continue to root for my desire Ejami. I can’t wait to see how the writers finish their story.-ch
DOOL: Days of Our Lives
sl: storyline
Cafe: Carrie and Rafe
ejami: Ej and Sami
lumi; Lucas and Sami
Where do I begin…. Days of Our Lives has me going absolutely crazy. I am disappointed on so many levels, it’s even hard to clearly write my emotions. I firmly believe Ken Corday has a death wish for DOOL; he’s clearly unconcerned about fans and must want to prevent the soap from being renewed. Story-lines lately has gone from ridiculous to completely nonsensical. Sometimes I wonder what type of writers are working on the set.
Rafe is having a full fledged affair with his sister-in-law Carrie. Affairs on soaps are usually exciting and a little dangerous and truthfully many people love to hate the villain but secretly enjoy the tantalizing stuff. Some people on twitter have expressed they see chemistry in Cafe and think this affair is the only thing that is entertaining right now. I completely disagree.
First off, there’s no chemistry, the characters are literally forced upon each other and the back-story is even more absurd. Both Carrie and Rafe are married, although Carrie has ALWAYS had affairs, this is the first time she has really hit rock bottom. Despite her affairs, Carrie was the good girl, good sister that everyone in town admired. When I heard Christie Clark was resuming her role as Carrie, I couldn’t have been happier. Instead of the writers giving her an awesome story-line to suit her amazing talent, they stuck her with this disgusting sl that is only getting worse as the days go by. Carrie’s relationship with her sister Sami has been through turmoil, the reunion seemed mature, and finally the sisters were in a place they’d never been. Now Carrie has decided she wants drama in her life and has turned to her sister’s husband. Rafe by long and far was the quintessential hero whom everyone turned to, looked up to and wanted in their corner. He’s not only handsome, he knows how to get end results. Although Rafe’s past is a blur and no one really knows anything about it and he has displayed questionable behavior regarding his sister Arianna, I still liked him as Sami’s savior. The only quality I was sure of was his love and devotion to his family. Rafe knows how crazy Sami is and how much trouble she easily gets into. It didn’t bother him until she had a one night stand with EJ, (it’s complicated). I know many people might think that’s enough for him to leave but because he knows Sami is broken, he should be able to understand why she does the things she does. In all honestly I don’t care that Rafe has left Sami since I am secretly hoping for an ejami or lumi reunion (this is another topic I’d have to clarify in a later entry). I care that Rafe has fallen from grace, that he is having an affair with his wife’s sister and pretending to be the father of his wife’s arch nemesis Nicole. This week I suspect the writers are continuing to play mind games with fans about guessing the paternity of Carrie’s baby.Currently the actress who plays Carrie has been let go which is totally preposterous considering she’s a fine actress and was given a sloppy script which made her appear beyond belief. So there will be no more Cafe and what will happen to Rafe? Will he go back to Sami and try to make his marriage work?
Sami is once again in a triangle with Lucas and Ej.
I am enjoying this immensely but at the same time, I’m a little tired of the charade. Granted EJ and Sami are not really “together” yet . Their relationship went from I hate you and never want to see your face again to a one night stand to now being very friendly. He has given her an apartment and has moved in next door——reminiscent of 2006 “for the sake of the kids”. I feel if the writers don’t want them together, they shouldn’t toy with us like this, it’s cruel and downright foolish. Lucas moved from Hong Kong to rescue Sami, leaving his fiancee Autumn and job to be sure Sami is holding up. Lo and behold, Lucas is no longer with Autumn and is slowing getting into an emotional and physical relationship with Sami. I’d like the writers to have a couple really be happy without other people meddling in the relationship. If ejami or lumi is suppose to be, let them, have Sami be with just one man and the others are kept at a distance.
Another sl that’s going down the drain is John/Marlena and the group ganging up on Stefano. I like John a lot, I think this character has a lot to offer. I enjoyed the Alamania scenes with Hope, Stefano and the egg. It was silly but entertaining. John and Marlena equal BORING. Together with other people around doesn’t change it especially if its the same story all the time.
How often are people going to try to bring Stefano down? Obviously it hasn’t worked in the past and no matter what it’s not going to happen now. Bringing back legacy characters are suppose to add spice and ratings to the show, instead its causing immense boredom. Roman, Rafe, Bo, everyone seem like little children playing in a grown up world.

Kate and Stefano were actually a cutesy couple. They both are devious people who do shady things to get what they want. There’s no shame in their ways since they were completely like-minded. Kate was committed to her marriage and did her best to keep Stefano entertained but for some reason she fell into another man’s bed. Out of nowhere she makes this awful mistake and is now paying the price for it. Stefano has kicked her out, took her company and gave it to someone she despises. What I don’t get is why Kate did what she did. Stefano is a crime boss, he’s busy and Kate using the fact that she couldn’t get a hold of him for weeks or the idea he might be with Marlena is beyond reasonable. Firstly, Stefano has not been obsessed with Marlena for years, secondly she must realize that he must be doing something super important for him to not stay in touch. It’s this type of strange writing I detest.
There are so many sub- stories that make absolutely no sense. DOOL writers need to up their game. Sometimes I don’t watch the show and just read the synopsis, what will it take for Ken Corday to listen to fans wishes and give us what we want?-ch
An honest to goodness post…

Captain Wentworth’s diary written by Amanda Grange is the companion book to Persuasion. I love all things Jane Austin and Persuasion is one of my favorite books that has been adapted into film. A companion book just focusing on the hero’s feelings is even better.
Captain Wentworth is a naval officer who met Anne in 1806 at a ball while visiting his brother. He was smitten by Anne’s beauty, brains and charm. They formed a sweet friendship and spent lots of time together. The more time they were together, the more his feelings grew. Captain Wentworth is a regular man who had regular dreams and a career in the Navy. Anne’s family is from money and power. In fact her father is a baronet, he’s from a long line of baronets who can trace their ancestry forever to people who had a name in England.
Wentworth decided against his brother’s wishes to propose to Anne. His brother was afraid he lacked the right pedigree and would be met with rejection. Fortunately Anne accepted his proposal and her father reluctantly give his blessings. However, Lady Russell who is Anne’s godmother opposed the marriage and eventually Anne changed her mind and called off the engagement. Wentworth was devastated by the outcome and blamed Anne for her weak mind. He couldn’t understand why Anne could easily be persuaded to change her mind so quickly despite showing a superior mind and attitude in everything else.
I think Wentworth was so far gone by his feelings for Anne, he didn’t think she was a mere 19 years old and perhaps marriage isn’t something to be rushed into. Anne was innocent, knew nothing except things in her surroundings while he experienced the world literally with his travels to all corners of the world through the Navy.
A span of eight years went by…Anne remained single, lived in the house with her sister and father and later went to help her other sister Mary. Wentworth made a fortune in the Navy and retired a rich man at the age of 33. He returned to England with intentions of relaxing. I believe Anne always existed in his mind and when he was settled he couldn’t help but remember how everything ended….to make matters more apparent, his sister and brother in law rented the Kellynch Hall from Anne’s family, the Elliots.
Although Wentworth and Anne weren’t exactly on speaking terms, she somehow found herself on the receiving end of another proposal from Wentworth of which she accepted.
I liked that Grange really went into detail about the courtship between Wentworth and Anne at their first meeting and exposed Wentworth’s deep feelings for Anne. Through a heartbreak and so much time spent apart, Wentworth’s feelings only seemed to grow and when he could no longer conceal it, he confessed and it was beautiful.
Wentworth’s diary sealed the love readers have for their love story. -ch

So many people have given me flack about my supposed betrayal of Ejami love. I am still an Ejami supporter only not as strong as before. I think we all need to realize that Ej and Sami are truly over. I have accepted it. I remember a EJ who would stoop to any level, do anything to get Sami’s attention even if it meant he would somehow inadvertently hurt her. If Ej really wanted Sami, I am sure he could have her by using blackmail, money, surveillance….but he hasn’t. He is focused on Nicole and his political career and it appears he doesn’t want anything to ruin it. Ej is not above bad behavior.
Days in general is getting so boring once again. I have no idea why I imagined with new writers, things would get better. The whole Sami/Rafe/Carrie triangle is disgusting. Daniel has left town, Sami is a mole, Melanie/Chad/Abby is boring. Ej and Nicole make me sick, they’re constantly in bed. I think the only thing to look forward to is the secret between Stefano and Alice. Those writers seriously have limited imagination. -ch
